Editorial Standards Effective Date: July 25, 2026

Purpose

This page explains how Klorvex researches, categorizes, and rates the products we cover, and how we prevent commercial relationships from influencing editorial judgment.

Category-First Methodology

Before writing a review, we identify which specific sub-category a product belongs to (for example, “Torrenting (P2P) VPN” rather than just “VPN”) and define the criteria readers in that sub-category actually care about — speed and P2P support for torrenting VPNs, unblocking reliability for streaming VPNs, and so on. Products are then evaluated and ranked against direct peers in that same sub-category, not against unrelated products sharing only a broad label.

Testing Standards

Where feasible, our reviewers use the product hands-on, installing software, running trials, and testing features specific to the relevant sub-category. Where hands-on testing isn’t possible — due to regional restriction, enterprise-only pricing, or similar constraints — we disclose that the review relies on documentation, public benchmarks, and vendor-provided information.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Writers and editors must disclose any personal or financial interest in a product beyond Klorvex’s standard affiliate relationships. Where such a conflict exists, it is disclosed to readers or the review is reassigned.

Corrections

Products change fast, and so does our content when it needs to. Email admin@klorvex.com with the article link and details of any inaccuracy; we verify and correct promptly, noting substantive corrections at the bottom of the article along with the correction date.

Church-and-State Separation

Advertising sales and affiliate partnerships are handled independently from the editorial team. No advertiser or affiliate partner receives preview rights, edit rights, or influence over ratings or rankings.
